Germans are often said to be direct but a lot of that directness from what I have seen talking to German expats is that this directness is usually bureaucratic not personal. Like if a neighbour is loud or someone is being a nuisance. A germancrl won't knock orsay it to your face or even give a short warning. He treat it as a rule breach and call the cops The result feels cold. The problem is solved on paper, not between the people

Anglos are also passive aggressive tbut in different way. Usually wrapped in with humour but they still talk. They hint, joke, complain or deliver a polite sounding cut. It is annoying yes but there is still a conversation to be had and anglos in general arent karens. Germans often just skip social step. That mix of formality, rule-following, and avoidance of face conflict is what makes it feel both rude and indirect at the same time.

Germans are too good at following rules. First it led them to Hitler, now they are destroying their own countriy with liberal globohomo.
