You're probably talking about what if they had won conventionally (most NATO states would've been turned into puppet states), but the commies did win in the sense that they've successfully subverted the west by infiltrating the educational system and mass media (newspapers, Hollwood, etc). This is manifested in how even the slightest conservative values are demonised today and how many young people think communism is "cool" and a viable system.

Idk about other countries but Sweden would probably become a full communist country like DDR and looked like it did in the 70s and 80s but more authoritarian. In the 70s and 80s many prominent leading politicans where pro communist and looked up to DDR. The Socialdemocrats even wanted to ban non state TV but it failed.

You are right in one way that the world has become more authoritarian is because soviet infiltration. However many people think that imigration and degeneracy is because of communism that is completly false. Those things came from liberalism. In Sweden we are as authoritarian as we was in the 70s or less even the mass imigration started to happen with the fall of the eastern block when Sweden was forced to become more liberali to improve relations with America and the West
