Recently, I had commented on a thread about someone being a "grey". User @HGHc3L commented this:

This led to many users getting heated although their join date was August 2026 like GTFO LOL

Ofc, My join date was April 2026... not great at all, and it makes me sad i didn't join earlier when I had the chance Like HGHc3L, I discovered lm in 2022-2023, I was 14-15 at the time and never bothered making an account, rather getting all my information from Youtube.

This forum has experienced two spikes in increased users, once when Mr. Latham himself leaked the forum to his normie audience, and again with @Clavicular bringing the full spectrum fully mainstream and into news headlines. Even master himself is more public than hes ever been before.

I think its quite easy to tell when someone on this forum came straight from tiktok with the slang they use and the quality of their posts, HOWEVER
My Question is This:

What makes someone a "grey" or a "normie"? Is it the join date on this forum? or rather the quality and effort that goes into their posts on here?

I am a bit of a Grey myself but for me Grey just means someone who isn't that experience in looksmaxxing knowledge rather than join date, such as them not knowing the type of hardmaxxes,the type of softmaxxes, or just someone that doesn't take looksmaxxing and improving themself seriously with dedication but instead use the terms from the forums (JFL, Chud, DNR etc etc) as a joke or just because it is trendy. For example, someone can join the forums when it went mainstream during 2023 or more recently in 2025/2026 , can be more knowledgeful on topic of looksmaxxing than someone who joins in 2018-2020 but never took the forums seriously, some of these new users (2025-2026) who joins the forums recently can have extensive knowledge on looksmaxxing such as knowing what type of surgeries they should get , knowing facial bone structer and how certain pharmaceutical medicines will effect their body , knowledge on certain pharmaceutical medicines , and lastly trying it on themself (given that they are dedicated enough) , but it can be true that certain users have high extensive prior knowledge of these stuff before joining the forums through certain body building forums and youtube so join date typically isn't that reliable on determining wether someone is a grey or not but rather the knowledge and how they use the terms such as JFL, DNR, Bhai, and etc.
