95% of shampoos, similarly to toothpaste are identical. More expensive shampoos may have a higher sulfate to water concentration, making them a bit better at stripping. Unless you have kinky/coily/curly hair, buy whatever you want and use it once a week. Some specialized shampoos are dry with weaker surfactants. Some don't have surfactants at all but shouldn't be used by anyone with softer than kinky hair
