What is better resting 1-2 minutes or 5-6 minutes between sets

I read that resting 5-6 minutes Between each sets help muscle improvement and recovery 60% more is it coping or it's true
 
3 minutes is optimal as it allows for over 90% ATP-CP recovery, anything more is unnecessary and annoying af for anyone else in the gym tryna use the machine.
