While looking into PED, i see many people talk about carrier oil

Can someone explain what this is? I searched up but there are different types for everything, hair, skin, perfume etc.

It's an oil/base in which you dissolve test (in this case), that allows the substances to be safely injected and control how fast it's absorbed
