Why does clav have orthodontic bands? this may be public knowledge but I've missed it

I wouldn't call his teeth perfect particularly the bottom ones, but they're way above average. Bands like these are typically used for younger patients to realign the jaw? So I would be confused as to what this is for, I'd be interested to find out.
