What is is called when a person who inflicts addiction feel as if they should be righteous, or seen in a good way from the addicted person?

For example, a porn star to their viewers, or a crack dealer to the crackheads they created.

I saw a shit twitter post from a female earlier~



Basically she feels as if men who consume porn or sex work should not shame or turn a blind eye to the person or type of people who make the content.

And i think this is wrong/highlights the fact that people refuse to take accountability, and weigh up the moral precision for their own actions towards others.

Its like i set up a shop selling highly addictive drugs. I myself know its wrong and unethical to be selling these products. I know its unhealthy and that people will be addicted to it. So why should i expect the people who are now addicted to my shit to respect me? Why should i perversely try to convince those people that what i am doing is right? I know for myself what i was doing.

And some may say that the person is doing good selling the drugs because the drugs temporarily remove pain. But that would only be the case if there wasnt a medium of exchange. If your giving the drugs for free then they may be further investigation, but your selling it. Your reward is the gold and that is it, not for the people addicted or for the world to consider you a saint. Same with these onlyfan stipper thots. Your doing your content for a comeup, not to heal men. Your doing that behavior because it’s advantageous to you. Your medium of exchange is the money popularity or attention. If you wanted to heal a man you would offer yourself to him directly and commit to him for free.

We even see this in the holy texts. People who found fault and rebuked the human experience yet those very same saints still had to eat drink and shit. But they were not wrong. They recognized the suffering. Same with men who may have consumed addictive content, or crackheads who were supported with drugs buy their dealer. What is wrong is wrong. Maybe the person who is addicted will fall out of the loop, or maybe that person is a good person regardless of their addiction.

But that has nothing to do with the administer of the addiction. The supplier is wrong and should not be exalted as right.

Sure you can’t say enablers/dealers of addiction aren’t doing the right thing but it should take up 1% of the thoughts/action/conversation around addiction. Personal responsibility is where it starts and stop’s ultimately

The only thing about victim blaming is the lack of accountability from the “victim”.

The better word is definitely fundamental attribution error but thats not what i mean.

I dont mean to call the crackheads or pornaddicts victims. Its more like im trying to describe this attitude of the inflictor trying to exalt, and hide themselves in this false righteousness, where they think they are somehow doing a good thing by feeding an unhealthy addiction, as they still consider it “feeding someone”.

The modern day people use Victim blaming lacks accountability. For example, if someone is addicted to porn, he will ultimately face the consequences of addiction. A person who holds accountability would probably recognize porn as a bad thing and not preach it as a good thing, or even go the extra mile to solve the issue of porn in general. I think it starts with introspection of the self, both from the accusing and accused.

Modern day victim blaming is used to justify thot behavior. The only problem is that the thot remains without change and does not recognize their actions as actually being wrong. Its without thought of why the negative consequence happened and without change or introspection of themselves and thoughts on how the change of themselves and their actions can lead to different outcomes.
