It's just another term for losing body fat. You can't reveal the optimal facial structure you hold genetically unless you drop to athlete-tier body fat levels like 10-12%.

99% of men are above that and a considerable amount are fat or obese (+40%).

Being lean (i.e. low body fat) also makes your musculature more visible and appealing.
