What is people’s obsession w high iq?

I see so many people saying “I have 140 iq how can I get it higher” whatever and i rlly don’t get the point. Like how are you so brainwashed to think you are a literal genius or incredibly gifted, and they get this idea usually from an online test. I don’t get the obsession though, I suppose coping to be a genius feels better than being average, but when you come across someone genuinely intelligent, you will know for sure the difference.
