Hi, thank you for taking the time out of your day to read my thread.

I am 16 years old, male, 174 cm tall, weigh 68 kg, and have around 20–25% body fat. My growth plates are still open, so I should hopefully have quite a bit more growing to do.

However, I am also quite overweight, so I was wondering if anyone could provide me with some advice. I was thinking about doing a 500-calorie deficit, but if I should go faster or slower, please let me know.

pffft calories don't exist it's just a measurement as long as you're getting your nutrients in it's not a problem but an easy deficit would be like 200 500 would be harder etc

Dont do any calorie deficit until you finish growing. You need the energy, macronutrients and micronutrients to grow. You can get abs at 25 but you cant grow taller at 25. Eat a lot of good food, ans sleep well. you will feel better and grow more

Would recommend going in a 300 deficit to not be completely nutrient deficient
