What is the bare minimum distance to view yourself in the mirror from?

In real life people see you from a distance, some people look better in selfies and even when close to mirror, basically better with lens distortion (standing close to the mirror is same as lens distortion fyi). If mirror is the the most accurate way to see ourselves then how long should you stand away from it to know how you actually look like?

If the mirror is exactly perpendicular to the wall. Any distance works. Just not like really up close to it.
