what is the best career to look into based on potential and current pay that won't be replaced by AI, has a good work-life balance, and pays at least 6 figures?. also, it has to take less than 6 (preferably 4 or fewer) years to get a job for it, so no doctors or engineers.

engineering is a 4 year degree brochacho. It's the perfect career for the smart but not really smart individuals who still want to make money, 6 figures after like 2-3 years of experience.

4 years plus 2-3 = 6-7 maybe, but still that's a long time without getting paid, and engineering is extremely competitive even comparable to computer science in terms of competition.

no it isn't lol, It's like a level higher from business majors :lul:. If you can average a 80% or even 75% u can apply competitively for engineering. For cs? minimum 85%+ competitively 90%+. It's not on the same level as CS, nursing, Neuroscience, or even psychology. (unless you're applying to a uni that's focused on engineering.)

It's what makes it ideal as a career choice, easy to get into, high demand, structured career ladder, good life/work balance, makes you 6 figures before you hit 30.

Don’t do engineering, wages have been stagnant for about 20 years now and inflation is getting worse every year.

Honestly blue collar work is where it’s at, university is not worth the opportunity cost. Boomers owning multi million homes need blue collar guys to fix their shit and they always will.

Current uni nursing student here, great stable career especially if you go for a masters (easily over 100k). Don't be intimidated by people saying it’s hard, legit I study 10 hours a week at most. Easy to find a job, even easier as a man. Not to mention insanely easy to find a future wife since the entirety of your class is girls. Consider joining the military after you graduate as an officer, you’ll make 80k outside of housing and food bs directly after college.

Firefighter, cop, lineman, electrician, plumber, aircraft mechanic, pilot, etc.

Also try to get into a union job since they always tend to pay well and have better benefits compared to non union jobs. For example, UPS drivers get full dental and medical coverage for them and their families, 40$ per hour, pension, 7 weeks of PTO, etc because of their union meanwhile non unionized FedEx and Amazon drivers get paid minimum wage and get virtually zero benefits for basically the same job.

I’m a network engineer. Honestly learn a trade and start your own business. Become your own boss. I hate being bossed around by upper management. You will make 6 figures as soon as you get a handful of people working under you.

you don't need graduate school for engineering, 4 years is enough. cs is 3-5 times more competitive than electrical engineering for example in terms of admission % and number of applicants. yes, engineering is hard, but it fulfills, all you're other requirements.
