What is the best retinol?

(Except for tretinoin, which requires a prescription)

I did palmitate for a while but I read somewhere that it's ineffective because it has to be converted 3 times in the body.

So which ones are better? I'm considering something like this:

I don't use TikTok personally. I only know of @Psychophilly but he's a smoker and probably couldn't help me with this.
