Use invisible aligners or get some appliance. Don't do elastics or extractions.

It pulls your maxilla backwards a little.
should I do it because I have overbite and I already have braces but not elastics yet, I mean I'd rather fix my bite and have it slightly recess my maxilla than be stuck with this recessed jaw that I have to constantly be mewing for my double chin to be hidden and mewing starts hurting after a while soooo what r ur thoughts if you would help me please?

Depends how bad maxilla is. If it's a severe overbite it will 100% ruin your maxilla. Also mewing shouldn't hurt, you don't put any pressure.
