I believe that human societies should be made up off extended family units comprised Brothers, Sisters, Cousins, Aunties and Uncles and Grandparents.
Multiple family units should then live in small sustainable communities and then network with each other.
Men should spend their time working, fighting, etc. whilst women should spend their time looking after children.
Men should be allowed to reproduce with as many women he wants his the family of the woman consents. His offspring should be taken care off by the females family unit.
The man and the woman should live separately lives but still come together occasionally to look after the offspring.
This is how I would structure it, with some settlements also focusing on certain functions essential for a society to run like power or water.
