What is the cause of waking up full of sweat several times a weak?

I've read it's anxiety among other things.
Like social anxiety, i have that. But who doesn't, nowadays?

I feel like Will Graham from the Hannibal tv show and have to change shirt and underwear and lay a towel underneath me and turn the blanket around, because everything is wet.
