If your only goal is truly you're making the best out of your development you can take a shot at it, do it safely, take smaller but functional doses even just to be safe. After you're 18 you can stop and pray you didn't fuck up your endocrine system permanently, again, unlikely, but possible.

Also, James' destruction was 98% caused by his surgeries, steroids didn't play a significant role in that

I was playing on taking that and Ai and other stuff to lower body fat a little bit
