What is the ideal ramus length?

Is there any specific measurement or ratio that shows it? I heard that ramus ideal length would be 0.7 of the mandible length or that the way to tell if ramus is short/average/long is by looking at the gonion and comparing it to the position of the lips, (short being above the middle of the lips, average on the middle of the lips and tall below the lips), does anyone know the correct way to measure?
