I believe an American "size 12" in men's shoes is near-optimal for functionality and aesthetics (on taller individuals, specifically); conversely, women's shoe ideal may be closer to "size 6" in the same country - keep in mind that these are crude numbers, and do not exactly constitute and/or represent all people.

Care to elaborate a bit more why do you believe 12 would be close to optimal for functionaly and aesthethics compared to any other shoe size

Assuming average feet length is 0.15* height and ideal height is 6'3 in morning, I got 28.6 cms feet size which is around 29.5 cms shoe size needed, aka 45-45.5EU/11-11.5US. I think average or slightly bigger would be better for most heights, unless you get 47-48EU/13-14US as average. 12US/46EU is kinda biggest size which you can easily find in any country, brand and so on. For example, in most luxury brands its usually limit to have 46EU. I'd say, if you 6'3 then 45-46 EU would be ideal to have.

Although if you dont have issues with finding shoes of any sizes, usually becaz you rich. Then bigger feet is better for sports, but worse aesthetically. For beauty standards, male models usually have either tiny(failo) feet, either average at most. So having average is pretty good.

Having big feet is halo for women, caz they think usually: big nose, hands, feet = big dick. So it depends though. In some counties, some ethnciites have smaller foot. In my Asian country, 44EU is already considered big deal, and 45EU+ is gigantic usually, which 6'3+ guys only wear.
