What is the largest (and average) protraction you've achieved using Bollards on adults ?

@Sergio-OMS
and can it be used for class II patients as well (given mandibular surgery would then follow afterwards)?

I have no idea, I just place and remove them when orthodontists ask me to do it.

but in a grown up I don’t think you can get more than 2-3 mm and that would be in the case that we also placed a MSE.

to me it doesn’t really work, it’s rather homeopathic. In some young adults/late teens) maybe 5 mm? Again, if MSE or similar is to be used and can really be expanded

What are we limited by? The amount of lateral MSE expansion? So the more we expand with the MSE the more we could potentially get with the bollards? Also does it matter that a patient is not class 3 but a class 2 as in my case (of course I am planning on a mandibular surgery too)?

you should then go for upper jaw surgery too, simultaneous to the mandibular one

Works, but not very consistently and definitely not of much use in adult patients.

Arent bollard plates in the alveolar bone or just above? Surely that's only good for fixing underbite and better upper lip, rather than other aesthetics?
