It is such a normie thing to do and I don't understand it. You're basking under the scorching sun and considerably amplifying the chances of getting skin cancer. You're going in the water for 5 minutes and getting out—for what? Why get in the water? What is it even doing for you? Why not just casually look at the water from a distance instead of creating a whole experience out of it and treating it as a leisurely activity?
I hate the beach. The sand is as hot as lava, the water is largely unsatisfying and creepy, and the sun is terrifying.
