Also, when you see someone’s face for a long enough time, they start looking better. It’s an effect that is prevalent.

So to summarize, hypergamy still exists and looking at relationships where the man is uglier doesn’t prove anything. You still need to be (very) good looking to elicit a strong enough reaction from a woman especially since they have lower T levels and less drives. At the same time, you can still get even a very good looking girl if you’re average or even slightly below average but it takes a lot of effort, and frankly, life is too short for that. To me, no girl is special enough for that.
