Blaming all of a diaspora's negative aspects on its native people is not only unfair but also diverts attention from the root causes of the problems. Expecting a country with over a billion people and some of the lowest per capita incomes in the world to be perfect is unrealistic. You, as someone living in a first-world country, should be aware of your privilege and not make generalizations about an entire nation. Many American blacks are the ones who want 0 associations with FOBS and use the African American influence on US music, culture, and sports to impress other races and to boast their superiority even though most contributed nothing themselves to these areas. Both groups want to distinguish themselves from each other so badly even though to outside races they are both seen with the same negative stereotypes of primitive, loud, low IQ, ugly, impulsive, etc.

i was speaking from my past academic experiences, so i have an extreme negative bias towards FOB West Africans.
