I know this was a while ago, but I've been thinking, and I agree with so much of what he says, but how can you reconcile him being a Catholic? I mean, historically, they made people pay to forgive sins, gave supreme power to the pope, who is just a man, etc. And Martin Luther, who shared similar views as Nick on Jews, could not be more different when it comes to Catholicism, calling them the incarnation of the devil, the antichrist.
