What is your relationship with your parents

My parents seem so cruel and selfish, they are only supportive when i have the money, they are cynical as fuck, my mother is so arrogant she cannot take a simple joke instead gets insulted, my dad doesn't talk to me at all for years. They have been divorced twice and i don't have a genuine reason to like them.

Me and my dad aren't close, we argue and don't talk to each others many time, we never share interest, thoughts, we don't vent to each others, we don't go out or do any activities together and he barely knows anything about my personal life.

But I know and he knows that we can count on each other, if I have a problem I can always count on him, and I'm always there for him. he supported me financially at my lowest and I always helped him with his finances because he's kinda bad with managing money. I still live with my parents despite being able to afford move out but he doesn't want me to waste money on rent and bills so I just live rent free all commodities included just like when I was a kid.

My mom is a nice religious lady, sometimes too nice for her own good, I'm more open with her but never share anything negative about my life so it doesn't hurt her feelings.

All I do is make sure to protect her from the evil of this world and not anyone hurt her.

Yes, my parents are the best people in the world. I've never had any of the issues my peers have with their parents with them. I guess the tradeoff is I get top 1% parents, but then a lonely ugly outcast in every other facet of socializing.
