Living in America in 2026 as a man:
You just moved out of your parents place, you have a bachelors in a degree that barely gets you noticed but hey it’s something right?
You take out a few loans for the down payment on an apartment and you search for jobs related to your field of study-you don’t find any so you settle for working as a waiter at a restaurant.
You look for a girl to date in real life but non of them give you the time of day- so you download a few dating apps. Nothing. Maybe it’s time to purchase a premium membership for more swipes right? Still nothing.
You turn to pornography and ai companions to fill the void. You begin to struggle to look people in the eye and all you can think about at work is going home and watching tv to turn off your mind.
Your apartment consists of a mattress, and a tv propped up on a small wooden table you found on your way home from work on the side of the street.
You eat most of your meals on your hands and knees, usually Chinese takeout.
You look at yourself in a mirror and feel a deepening sense of insecurity,
You post yourself on reddit. People ignore your post or say rude things. Sometimes they compliment your hair but that’s it.
You have a couple work buddies but they don’t really understand you. So you mostly talk to other depressed and lonely young men online.
