What limits leg lengthening surgery?

Sometimes you only get 7cm and sometimes 13 cm etc.

Does the extension of the leg depend on the device used, the age of the patient or the individual healing process?

Like why do some ppl have limits? What is stopping them from getting more than 5 cm?

Its the soft tissue, the limit is how much the nerves and the muscles can adapt to the lenghtening.
