What makes a lean bulk a lean bulk

Does it mean to eat less carbs but up kcal, does it mean eating more carbs but less fats, what does a lean bulk mean
 
only 300-400 calories more then your maintenance.

How would i minimise a loss in facial gains? im on a non processed food diet w around 40g carbs 300g protein and barely any fats

Nope.
It's all about the food you eat not calories.
Try eating 5000 calories worth of beef and eggs you won't be bloated.

Im on a diet with meat and eggs and i can assure you that you won't be able to eat 2500 kcal worth of meat and eggs in a day. They are so low kcal thats why im not worried abt cutting but i cant increase the amount of meat i eat anymore so i have to switch to other foods to leanbulk.

I've got a big appetite so I could definitely do 4000 pretty easily

Ive been on 4K kcal thats no problem but the problem is getting 4K from clean foods like meat. For 4K kcals from meat you will have to eat 4Kg worth of meat. Wich will first set you back big + you wont find the time to eat it. The problem isnt the 4K kcal at all

lean food, like chicken, rice, meat, pasta, fruits and not junk food
