What makes mongoloids have flat faces?

i dont get how this makes sense tbh when there's so many climates in asia like cold ass mongolia and siberia, and hot ass tropical SEAmonkey country but they're still all pretty flat faced. What are even the advantages of being flat faced?
What made gook evolve like this?
