What makes the ipd appear bigger/smaller

Me and my brother (chad version of me) have about the same IPD (~60mm-58mm; +-2mm), but the interesting thing is that his doesnt look small but rather harmonizes with his face and its not a failo at all in his case.

therefor there must be something about the face that effects the perception of ones IPD. Anyone knows? My only guess would be fhwr, because he has a wider face.

I just figured it out myself pretty much: combination of pfl and fwhr and eye shape it must be (not sure if uee has an effect)
