IRL situations 5'7-5'8 does not matter at all. Nobody will look at you and think you're 'short'. In actuality it's very common (esp among ethnics). I live in the UK and I estimate around 20-25% of whites are 5'7 or 5'8.

I'm 5'7.5. Nobody has ever called me short apart from people on the internet.
