Seems like a total myth, the reason for 99% of all male pattern hair loss is androgenic alopecia, curls or not have nothing to do with it.

afaik curly hair doesn't come with an increased chance of androgenic alopecia but it does correlate with alopecia in black women.

idk tbh i have curly hair from my dads side, my dad is over 65 with full head of hair so its just some myth i think

It's not that bad, but like i said, it's just more difficult to work with
Growing out the hair is really difficult because it grows out all weird. Not too much of a big deal but I tried growing out my hair for quite a while and spent too much time waiting for an ROI only for it never to come
Styling is a bit more difficult
This is more to do with me but my hair texture varies in different areas which makes it harder to style once again

can i ask abt how you style ur hair? i have 3a too and i find it difficult sometimes its just a low taper and curls hide my forehead like i dont know the suitable one, and by loose i mean like theyre not the hard type of curls theyre can move easily when u move ur head right? idk the correct word sorry

Oh in that case mine are more stationary/heavier and not that loose
I have a pretty simple routine, I shampoo once every few days, conditioner while in the shower, dry hair slightly with a t shirt, add a leave-in, then let to air-dry. Sometimes I use a small amount of styling gel but I don't usually get that great results from it.

I have a pretty simple routine, I shampoo once every few days, conditioner while in the shower, dry hair slightly with a t shirt, add a leave-in, then let to air-dry. Sometimes I use a small amount of styling gel but I don't usually get that great results from it.

Personally I had 1A-1B hair and honestly it was a nightmare I had no idea how to style it properly I ended up getting a perm and now my hair is around 2B-2C It’s been such an improvement because I can style my hair so much more easily and I feel like it suits me much better.

I used to keep a slightly medium length hair with the sides and back somewhat grown out
I got kind of raped by my barber recently though, the guy made the sides super short but didn't cut the top and front that much so now I look retarded
