There is such a thing as 'ignorance', but it's not the same as so-called 'bigotry'.
Somebody that's ignorant never had a point in the first place. If somebody said Jews practice Satanic rituals where they eat babies, that would be a case of ignorance since virtually zero Jews do this. However if somebody said blacks are more violent and low IQ on average, that isn't rooted in ignorance since it's supported by evidence.
99% of the time when somebody calls another person a 'bigot' they're just trying to brush aside negative criticism directed at their group or culture. It's extremely rare for there to exist any people irl that actually match the accepted definition of what a bigot is. Yes people exaggerate sometimes but that's still not the same as actually being wrong. A person that exaggerates isn't wrong they're just blowing things out of proportion.
