I think I just want to do something to try prevent future hair loss but don’t think a hair transplant is needed at this stage. Is minoxidil the best treatment?

hop on oral minoxidil. U are definately balding. We are the same age bracket and i have witnessed people with similiar hairline as you descend brutally with balding

If ur from USA, u can easily get it from walmart. Its called Kirklands minoxidil. I drink it topically, which equals to 5mg of tablet version. Unfortunately for oral minoxidil on pill form u need a prescription.

I really doubt that 0.01 inch of hair on the temples is Ganna do anything to his smv lmfao

Maybe if he’s balding agressively and fast then hop on fin but if it’s just slowly got there and stopped then I wouldn’t

I was born with a norwood 2 and pretty much stayed there my whole life lmao

I'm gonna take topical fin and oral minox. I'm going consult with a professional to also see their thoughts on my hair and if/when I will benefit from a HT in the future.

Yeah seems like a NW 1.5ish.

I contacted a HT specialist who is working with my friend soon. He told me I have a healthy hairline with minimal recession and very good thickness. He currently advises against HT at the moment.

He says to keep up with my medication routine and keep assessing and if it starts getting worse contact him to prevent it.

Oral min is used for patients with diffuse thinning and has more side effects than any other hairloss drug.

In your case you are experiencing temporal recession which can be treated with a basic 5ar inhibitor like Fin.

Just get on fin and use topical minox foam

If you want a more powerful stack then use oral Dutasteride and RU58841

1 mg daily. Results usually take 6 months. Can add in topical minox it is available OTC and use Nizoral shampoo 1-2x a week
