my orthodontist gave me class 2 rubber bands a few weeks ago but I haven't worn them at all due to fear of increased recession and I am planning on asking her about surgeries to bring my recessed mandible and maxilla forward instead but I'm not sure how it'll go or if insurance would cover the cost

afaik rubber bands are for dental correction not skeletal, wear them and if you still need surgery for aesthetics after it's all done then get it
