How blackpilled do you think the average person actually is?
Back in 2020–2022, when looksmaxxing started gaining traction online, I was more redpilled than blackpilled. My focus was on self-improvement: fragrancemaxxing, going to the gym, improving my fashion, getting better haircuts, and generally trying to maximize my appearance.
Then around 2025–2026 it seemed to become mainstream again. Now almost everyone has heard terms like looksmaxxing, and even things like bonesmashing have spread outside niche communities through TikTok, YouTube, and other social media.
I might be considered a greycell since I’ve only made one post here, but ever since I found this place I’ve been trying to identify and fix every flaw I can. I’ve spent countless hours researching facial aesthetics, surgery, orthodontics, and other ways to improve my looks.
That said, I think people massively overestimate how many are actually blackpilled. Plenty of people know the terminology, but very few are genuinely lurking on .org, .io, or .onl, reading studies, discussing facial aesthetics, or fully buying into the blackpill worldview.
Most “normies” still think it’s all nonsense and respond with things like, “Just work on your personality.” Whether you agree with that or not, it shows they usually don’t understand what blackpill discussions are actually about.
Personally, I’d guess that fewer than 0.1% of people are genuinely blackpilled. Maybe even around 0.05%. There are probably far more people who know the terminology than people who actually believe in the blackpill and actively follow communities like .org, .io, or .onl.
So I’m curious: what percentage of the world’s population do you think is genuinely blackpilled—not just familiar with looksmaxxing, but actually believes in the blackpill and actively follows communities like .org, .io, or .onl?
