Bosnians didn't do anything, there are no bosnian war criminals in the Hague while there are Serb and Croat ones, in the whole muslim controlled territories not a single church was destroyed while the serbs destroyed all mosques

Its true tho, Bosnians were the most liberal and least religious in Yugoslavia, they were given the unity and brotherhood dream by Serbs and everyone saw how that went , while Bosnians were mocking women with hijabs Serbs were having marriages at churches and getting baptized, same for Croats

In a super tldr fashion:

-Ottomans controlled Serbia and Bosnia, Germans controlled Croatia and Slovenia, this rule for 300 years made the south slavs culturally and religiously divided. During ww1 as you know Allies won and Serbs were part of the allies, and they were given free power to annex all South Slavic countries, so they did and got Croatia, Bosnia, and Slovenia. Now reminder Serbs were oriental influenced while Croats and Slovenians were western influenced and Catholics, also you have the muslim Bosnians on top . Now at 1918 the new Kingdom of Yugoslavia formed. The catholic Croats and Slovenes and Muslim Bosnians weren't so happy being in a same country with Serbs because Serbia was more primitive then Croatia and Slovenia and for Bosnians they didn't like it because they were muslims, but still Croats, Slovenes and Bosnians gave the serbs a chance to prove they are actually Yugoslav Patriots and that this Yugoslavia isn't in reality just a secret Greater Serbia project. Well what happened is that it really was and wasn't at the same time, its complicated. Basically the Yugoslav king (who was serb) was super pro Yugoslav and not pro Serb but the rival serbian nobles were angry with him and wanted him to make the new Yugoslavia more serb dominated. Because of these serb nobles Croats, Slovenes and Bosnians were getting more alienated, the top generals and officers were Serbs, the politicians were dominated by Serbs, and Croats especially as the second most numerous didn't like this, so they started to petition for their representation.

Now this is when the key of the start of the end happened, the Liberal Croat party leader which was the head of the largest Croat Yugoslav party got assinated by a serb nationalist. This made croats furious and shit started getting bad. On top of this the Yugoslav Serb king got assassinated as well by a Macedonian nationalist who was in ties with a secret croat fascist group called the Ustashe, this is when Croats and Serbs started hatting eachother and this was close to ww2. To ease the tension the new Serb Yugoslav king gave Croats a much bigger territory in Yugoslavia, but it was too late, ww2 was going on and Nazis made Yugoslavia an ally, for Croats, Slovenes and Bosnians this was okay, but the serb elite was furious that the king and Yugoslavia became part of Axis, and they staged a coup, the king fled Yugoslavia and went to Britain, this made Croats, Bosnians and Slovenes mad and Hitler attacked Yugoslavia and occupied it. He gave power to the Croat fascist party and the new Croatian Nazi nation was made. The Croat nazis to get revenge on Serbs killed thousands of serbs and deported a shit ton. By 1943 Tito the communist leader and his partisans were gaining more and more power and by 1944 all the former serbian fascist joined the partisan communist and liberated Yugoslavia. What happened is that Croat Nazis were massacred, and Slovene nazis too by the partisans. But Tito made one huge mistake, he forgot to exterminate the crypto serb fascists who were half of the Partisan larping commies now. A

And here we get new socialist Yugoslavia, Tito held it with an iron fist, Croatia and Slovenia were cleansed of fascism but Serbia never was, so the crypto fascist Serbs that were now Yugoslav generals and such always held secret animosities agaings the Croats, Bosnians for the genocide in ww2, and after Tito died serbs finally started acting up, they started centralizing the country more and more on Serbia, the Yugoslav army became disproportionately Serb dominated again, this started making Croats, Bosnians, Macedonians and Slovenes angry and the last straw in 1990 was when the Slovenes and Croats asked the Serbs if they can become more decentralized, Serbs simply refused and Slovenia and Croatia declared independence, the Serb minority in Croatia started a civil war, soon Bosnia declared independence too and they had an even worse civil war and thats that

it had good social programs , education , workers and womens rights and all that scandinavian stuff but it had bad sides like attacking political dissidents and a lack of goods sometimes

but most people i know said they were happier back then and young people were more normal and everybody was dating JFL. Old people always say we a re nerds. Yugoslavia was like modern scandinavia + cuba + EE iron block + A little bit of USA + caucauss + socialism and russia
