• CT scan (cbct is just cone beam ct, it can be taken faster(literally as you are scanning the output comes out, and more detailed so if u can get cbct its ideal but any ct scan will do)
• Imaging of your teeth (also cone beam would be ideal, it's how the orthodontist scanned mine)
• Panaromic x-ray (maybe take without a mouth guard so you bite is seen but idk ab that)
• Scintigraphy (Optional, to see if the condyles in the bone are still active // plates not fused)

What sort of dental impressions? I asked the dentist if they could do some and they were like "What kind?" I was like "Uh, bite?" I emailed the surgeon, but they didn't get back to me.

By the way, if you can find a dentist that has CBCT, you don't need a referral. I have an appointment for tomorrow. It was like $290, which I thought was fine, considering a hospital would probably try to charge $2000 for one.

BUMP, will CT of skull + digital dental impressions be enough to know what to do? Anything else?

Why would x-ray be necessary, isn't ct enough, or is that in place of dental impressions?

Read above, is x-ray really necessary? Also all scintigraphy does is check if growth plates are open in skull in case they change right so as long as they're done growing you shouldn't need to worry right?

CT scan is a kind of xray. if you have a full head panoramic/3D CT scan, thats it. No other scans needed

That and the dental impressions will suffice

I've not heard any maxfac ask for a scintigraphy

I got the scan I needed last week.

They did the CT scan itself right. Its just all the attendent administrative, bureucreatic, communication bullshit that makes what should be easy be a nightmare.

It was $300

The dental impressions were $100
