What should i be aware of when having braces?

Im getting braces soon and hopefully i can also consult to the ortho to get a palate expander cause i have a narrow palate mostly in the front.
Some of my teeth is quite messy but its mostly going in a forwards or backwards direction. I have a crossbite from a canine not going forward enough and a lil underbite from both my front teeth being a bit behind where it should be.

I was wondering if the rubber bands used to make my jaw tilt/face the other way would make my lower jaw recessed or will it fix my jaw asymmetry. Also what should i watch out for when getting braces? Thanks

Whatch out for your maxilla could get narrow by pushin your maxilla back the longer u use them

Doesn’t happen in adults but yea be happy after 6 months result some retards do 2 years
