I mean whether you should cut or not during puberty depends how fat you are, I think during puberty you should try be at a leanish bodyfat but not too lean obliviously cause that will just fuck shit up. if you have too much excess fat on your body enzymes such as aromatase convert testosterone to estrogen causing lower testosterone levels and higher estrogen levels. being lean also increases insulin sensitivity helping gh work better by improving the liver’s response to gh, signalling the liver to make more igf-1 as well as making your body better at using glucose for energy and preventing insulin resistance that causes diabetes and high blood sugar.
