What should i get or tell my orthodontist

I have a recessed jaw and constantly need to jutt to look just normal i keep telling my foid mom to book me an appointment but she says i need an approval from the dentist to even go to the orthodontist and I want to get a herbst appliance is that good because ive heard it can recess your upper jaw or does it just hold it back while the mandible comes forward I have a pretty good face but my lower third is absolutely shot so what should I tell them or get help i just turned 15

do u got an overbite? if u do ask for braces to fix it. Cause when u get braces for overbite they move ur bottom teeth more foward and make ur jaw look less recessed.

I do have an over bite my front teeth cover my bottom teeth like 90 percent and my bottom 2 front teeth flare inward like I have slightly crowded bottom teeth but are braces actually good for aesthetics?
