what should i use to style my curly hair

this is how i style my hair atm. but im unsure of what products to use. i right now use a curl cream but im pretty sure its filled with silicone. then i use a hair hold spray to keep it like that. i like to have that wet gel cast look. any recomendations?

i had it grown out but i had no idea what to ask for at the saloon. i got it "shaped and cleaned up" and she made it way to short

im not sure if its an styling issue. hair health. or needing to get the right haircut for it to grow out

im not sure. but you can feel the hair getting heavier. i only use shampoo once every 2 weeks. and im pretty sure water doesnt wash out thick hair gel
