First of all he's korean, which is unironically an advantage for multiple reasons. He also probably needed to make something out of it, financially speaking, so that could play a role in how dedicated you are to the game. Being 'good' at this game depends on your definition of it. Do you just want to reach high elo? Then pick one champ, stick to it no matter what, learn all of its quirks and be consistent without ever tilting. You want good mechanics? That's a completely different story. Good macro? Learn everything in the game in an obsessive way and use everything in your advantage.
