Basically Pham looks Caucasian because he has a Caucasoid skull rather than a Mongoloid skull. This video explains the difference between Caucasoid, Mongoloid, and Negroid skull shapes.



Caucasoid skulls differ from Mongoloid (Asian) skulls in that (1) Gonians are outward, not inward as on Asians (2) have square eye orbits which are deeper set (3) low set eyebrows. In addition Mongoloid skulls generally have a flat maxilla.

Pham has outward gonians with good zygos and hollow cheeks, deepset eyes with square eye orbits, lowset eyebrows and good forward growth. Normally features associated with Caucasoids.
