what specifically should I look for in a surgeon?

I had two appointments with two separate surgeons one for oral and maxillofacial surgery and one is a jaw surgeon (idk if there is an exact difference)

what should I look for to decide who’s gonna do my lefort 1?
jaw surgeon is gonna be covered by insurance
maxillofacial surgeon is gonna be paid out of my own pocket
