Are implants or filler the only way?
Also is MARPE likely to push my zygos out more?

Implants and fillers are the most common. MARPE isn’t really an aesthetic procedure. Yes it can produce some expansion in the cheekbones but not predictably as that’s not the goal.

Osteotomy of the zygos is not commonly performed on non trauma cases as it’s far less likely to produce the specific look an implant can create for less risk.

Is MARPE for palate expansion after fusion the option that would give the most zygo projection even if minimal?
Cause I’ll need some ortho work done no matter what.
Also have you see many good implant results? I’ve only seen 2 so far here’s one

Also I’ve heard your better off getting infra orbital rim implants in the same procedure is that true?

Ur talking about infra malar implants.

These can be quite unpredictable.

I thought u were talking about getting infra orbital rim implants along with zygos, which can be done with inframalar implants?

Have u seen good results tho?
Not seen many, they should be conservative so u don’t look like a plastic retard

No, implants and filler aren’t the only ways but they are the fastest and most direct. MARPE can slightly widen the midface, It may subtly push the zygomatic bones outward, especially in younger ppl. Effect on cheekbones is mild, but noticeable if your midface was narrow before.

How young? Im looking to get Marpe prolly at like 17.5-18 also do you think Marpe is the best way for expansion looks wise

17.5–18 is kinda on the edge. If your sutures aren’t fused yet, you might still get decent gains. Younger kids def see better results tho. Looks-wise, MARPE’s prob the best shot you got without going full surgical. It can widen your midface a bit and help with that narrow look, but don’t expect crazy cheekbone pop.

Would it matter if it’s fused? Cus isn’t it screwed into my palate anyway and forces it open? And I don’t expect a massive change main reason is my teeth are fucked

Yeah, it’s true MARPE is bone-anchored and can split the suture even if it’s partially fused that’s what makes it better than traditional expanders. But if it’s fully fused it might not open without surgery (SARPE). At 17 18, you’re still in that grey zone, so some people get it to work fine. Since your main goal is fixing your bite, it’s still worth it, and any facial improvement is just a bonus.

ZSO (zygomatic sandwich osteotomy) is also an option. It's mediocre however.

more than 6 MM marpe expansion will push ur zygos out
but how wide is ur upper palate? hows ur bigonial to bizygomatic width?
