All the ads and teasers etc. showed what appeared to be an insanely detailed open world game (essentially GTA level) where you could do almost anything and customize anything.

There is no appeal, the game is shit and riddled with bugs. It could have been great but it the devs fucked it up.

Played it and its kind of a shame, the city design and arquitecture are UNREAL. Its a map way smaller than San Andreas of GTA V, yet feels way bigger because everything is in scale and has much more verticality with way more pathways and even the most obscure of places or shitty stores are full of detail and structure, I went to play GTA after and everything felt... miniaturized to explain it somehow. Its the first time in a video game i felt like strolling around a REAL city (I don't mean photorealism in graphics, for example GTA with mods looks better, but inmersion). They say they are developing multiplayer, so I hope they polish more the AI for singleplayer and don't scrap the incredibly setting and environment they developed. IF the inmersion I felt while having such a shitty basic AI already surpassed GTA and RDR2 which were famous for their AI and attention to detail, imagine it with actual polished behaviors for NPCs and shit.

TBH i think that's where most the map spacing went to

The AI problem goes very deep and I doubt its a quick fix, hell its not even a fix more like a brand new implementation on a game that's already been released and has seen the bulk of its sales this year. People that didn't buy the game now probably aren't going to want to buy the game in the future seeing the shit show that ensued.
