Read about it. Happens mainly during jaw angle surgery but can happen during bimax too. Yaremchuk wrote a paper about it and has some examples. Long story short is the masseter attachment gets damaged and the muscle retracts upward. Here's an example, before and after the masseter was pulled back down and reattached to the bottom of the jaw

legit bizarre. I suspect the after isn't a real picture though, that it is just a computer simulation.
