Both paper and plastic is recyclable. No one asked for paper straws and no one cares about their existence so why the fuck do they exist?

Yes plastic straws have bpas and phytoestrogens but paper straws are something else

It's because the European Union has banned the plastic ones and enforced the use of paper straws to save the environment or some shit, even though their impact is absolutely negligible and most of the world's pollution and waste comes from China and they don't give a shit about recycling or similar stuff.

In the name of saving the world, the EU has imposed some very frustrating measures - instead of going after the big companies and the major sources of pollution, they have instead banned all sorts of small, useful stuff like plastic straws, bags, q-tips, classic light bulbs, borax, high-powered vacuum cleaners, etc., and all these measures simply make life miserable for the average person and have little effect on the environment.
